Sometimes do you happen upon a space that speaks to you in an instant? Yes? Well, it happened to me the moment I set eyes on this colourful dining space. I like how colour has been used here because despite the multiple hues the room feels calm, not busy to the eye. This has been achieved by keeping all the hues contained within one 'zone'. In this case the 'zone' is the dining table where the chairs, pendants and vases all introduce new colours to the space, in turn anchoring the table as a focal point in an otherwise simply decorated space. What do you like about this colourful space? Would you have different coloured chairs around your dining table?

ReplyDeleteI have a very short attention span... I would LOVE to have multicoloured dining chairs TODAY, but tomorrow might be a completely different story. So I can't make any major buys based on the current "vision" :)
ReplyDeleteLove learning about the theroy behind the decorating, nice one Will! Oh and so glad you are enjoying the Real Livings. Such a good magazine! xxxx

Are those plastic chairs?
ReplyDeleteI love the overall effect, but I have to admit that I might not be adventurous enough to place 6 different-color chairs around my table... maybe same wood, different upholstery? That might be fun :-)
I am in love with your color palette and the chairs! Thanks Will!
ReplyDeleteLove those chairs! One day I want to have a place with old wood floors that I can paint white - the colours look so great against all that white:)

ReplyDeleteI love the white floors combined with the pink chairs. Such a clean feel.
ReplyDeleteMixing several colours can be tricky, but this dining room is perfection. Love it so much! Have a good weekend Will.
ReplyDeleteI love how the colours pop against the white, gorgeous. I like that our dining table and chairs have belonged to different members of the hubbie's family but I'd love to have a farmhouse table with mismatched and different coloured chairs. Not like I've spent time thinking about this, or anything. ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely pop of colors...!!! Looks soo fresh and interesting !!
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! I did consider having chairs in different colours around my table; I love them but I think they work best with a white floor - and mine isn't, unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing! I came across this hunting for some coloured dining chairs, dare I ask where these are from??!! We have white furniture and wanted to make the room a bit funky. Can you help??
ReplyDeleteThey are Tolix chairs! :) Fab, huh!
