Colour Palette: Muted Mint Kitchen

This post is a partnered post brought to you in conjunction with Churchill Home Insurance who offer reliable home contents insurance.
Before we go anywhere may I please just wax lyrical about the stunning space for a moment? I love it! This is what Bright.Bazaar is all about: spaces that use colour to take them to the next level. Personally, I believe that this kitchen is yards more interesting than it would be if it were decorated without the muted mint shades. Why? The washed-out mint hues add interest to the grey marble and whitewashed floorboards and walls, which gives the space added visual depth. The row of theatre-style bulb lights brings a dash of drama, whilst the bare wood keeps the scheme feeling organic, tactile and warm. The darker green accent hue on the Austrian Cafe Bentwood chair serves as a focal point amongst the array of soft shades. What do you like about this kitchen?

  1. You are so right - that is one of the best uses of colour I've seen in a while. The green is so wonderful with the greys of the marble...like the beautiful shades of Eucalyptus.
Image has been pinned and will be pored over until we eventually renovate the kitchen - thanks Will!

  7. I love everything Will - but particularly how the wood and mint elements combine perfectly with the marble. That colour palate is totes up my alley.

  8. I love the subtle use of colours and that there are a bit more unusual colours mixed in. Also, I like the mix of wood and more modern surfaces and the classic yet modern aesthetic. It's a beautiful kitchen but also one to live in/with. I have the April issue of Elle Interiƶr the kitchen is featured in and that family's whole apartment is really inspiring.

    1. Hi Lynne. You could try to see if the magazine is on http://www.newsstand.co.uk/ as i've ordered some international titles from there before. Failing that, with some hunting I'm sure you will find the whole tour somewhere in blogland! Good luck!
