Stylist: Charlotte Love's Pretty Pastels

A few months ago I featured one of Charlotte Love's prints in a 10 Things I Learned & Loved This Weekend post but today I want to share one of her recent test shoots. As well as running an online shop, Charlotte is also a very talented interior stylist, whose work regularly catches my eye in the likes of Good Homes magazine and when assisting the lovely Selina Lake. I think she styled up this pastels story an absolute treat without going overboard and creating a sickly sweet result. Rather, the space feels fresh and organic, not overly forced. Charlotte has expertly paired sorbet hues together, breaking them with the occasional flash of neon - the key to creating a winning pastel scheme. The dip dyed curtain teamed with the baby blue hued wooden chair is such a delight! As we know, pastels are top of the class in both interiors and fashion right now so I hope this shoot sends lots of work Charlotte's way. What a talented, creative and inspiring woman!

Let's ease ourselves into the weekend with an inspiring peek inside the portfolio of Stylist, Marcus Hay. Born in Germany and raised in Australia, Hay has had over 16 years experience of styling for advertising, lifestyle and marketing/branding projects. Although now working out of Manhattan, Marcus originally found his love for creativity when hanging out on set with his Photographer father, John Hay. Meanwhile his mum, Janet, helped him discover a love for paint and fabric swatches, from which he would help visual merchandise his parent's decorating stores. He moved to NYC in 2005 to join Real Simple as Style Director and now works for a range of clients across America, the UK, Europe and Australia. Phew! Pretty impressive, right? You can tell Marcus has been using colour since a young age because he works hues into his work with seemingly effortless simplicity - teals, aquamarines, golden yellow, coral; you name it, Marcus can work it! Happy Monday morning, friends! I hope you've all had great weekends? I'm pleased to see that spring is on the way, and that the mornings are getting lighter. March is one of my favourite months of the year (not just because it's my birthday month!) but because the air feels fresh and warmer weather is just around the corner.

Today I wanted to share with you the work of stylist Tim Neve. Based in Australia, Tim's work caught my eye instantly with his ability to make an apartment look stylish using only beige-coloured hues. Yes, I know, this shocked me too! As many of you know, I'm a huge lover of colour, but Tim's work got me thinking and actually, in this spread from Real Living magazine, there is a myriad of textures and senses that create a room full of personality, using only the softest of shades available.
