Hello, friends! I hope you are well? It feels so good to be back here blogging again on Bright.Bazaar after a long weekend celebrating the Jubilee here in London. The four days of festivities have been a real delight and I certainly felt proud to be British. Another reason why I loved the Diamond Jubilee? The abundance of colour seen across the country in street parties and an abundance of red, white and blue bunting. Of course, I'm diving straight back into some colourful interiors inspiration, starting with these two inspiring schemes seen in Good Homes magazine. The first, Utility Chic, caught my eye in an instant with its striking red and white floor tiles and utilitarian stainless steel storage unit, all softened with linens and towels. The second, Polka Dots, sees how a simple paring of a graphic repeat pattern and one accent hue can result in a striking scheme. I just love that polka dot wallpaper, especially as you could swap out the green accent hue for another after a few seasons. You could even try using Ready made curtains to get this polka dot look, too. I like both the schemes but my favourite is Utility Chic - how about you?

These are both unique and I am totally drawn to the second combo...very unexpected b/c would never naturally put the two together in a room.

look number 2 combines two of my favorite things on earth (well, right now, haha) - polka dots and minty green! I'm smitten!

Love the Queen..... and enjoyed every minute of watching the Jubilee celebrations! Makes me wish I could have been there among the sea of Union Jack banners and flags.

ReplyDeleteWill I love this Lime runner by Roger Oates its actually on my sourcing page for the works on my house at the moment. Cant decide between that or painted stairs.... gorgeous x
ReplyDeleteWill, the polka dot & green is so fab! We love mixing pattern-on-pattern too, so also love the patterned rugs & the drapes... E & M xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ideas! I actually do have in my bedroom a black and white paisley and apple green theme :)
ReplyDeleteGreen and dots. I will be thinking about that entry way all day now. Love those stairs!
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly what I want to do in my bathroom - black and white polka dot with green accents. The hubs might just get overruled on this one now that I have a picture to show what I've been imagining in my brain! xo
ReplyDeleteI love both the schemes - especially in the rooms they've been used in. I think the Utilitarian is probably easier to live with long-term, but that polka dot wallpaper is really fun. Would love to see it with even more colour... perhaps some yellow or a prussian blue?
