As a self confessed colour lover, I'm always excited when I see a new paint collection hit the shelves. What's even better is when it comes with knock out inspiration - just like the suggested decorating palettes for Dulux's key autumn/winter 2011 colour, Twilight Cinders. Louise Smith, Dulux's Global Colour Designer and her team pulled together three colour schemes to demonstrate how to work the deep, plum-like hue of Twilight Cinders into your home this season. Mr.Bazaar's personal favourite? Hands down, the dramatic yet cosy dining room takes my vote: There's something magical about the colour's combination with Summer Surprise that works wonders in modernising the rustic-cum-harvest feel to the rest of the space. Which of the Dulux Twilight Cinders palettes do you like best?

ooo..love the pictures with the plum in the background or decor!
ReplyDeleteWill you always find the most beautiful images to share. The slate gray, magenta, navy and hunter green are the perfect blend of colors for fall right now. I always find something I want to replicate in my house that I see on your blog. For me it's the painted headboard, collage of mirrors, and navy/grayish color on the walls. Thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeletenumber one...just saw a painting done all in plums and raspberries and smoky greys, can't stop thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the first one as well! It's beautiful and dramatic!

The clay is my favorite, although the deep purples are rich and warm (the fireplace certainly help the cozy effect too)!

I love the plum tones, especially for fall. It's such a rich romantic color and automatically makes me think of wine!
