When I saw Brian Everett's home on design*sponge I knew in an instant it was the perfect Bright.Bazaar home. With flashes of hot brights and uplifting accent hues, this home had my colour-loving heart all a flutter. Despite the use of zingy oranges and preppy pinks the mid-century modern home still feels fresh, light and airy. I love how they've upcycled craigslist finds, such as the bench on their patio where a coat of hot pink paint on the legs has created a statement piece with minimal effort. Small polka dot brights on the curtains in the bedroom show the level of detail that has been given to decorating this home. Which part of the tour is your favourite?

ReplyDeleteYes luv, 'beige can be bland' as hell! Unless of course it is a creamy light beige in a Swedish loft apartment, layered with dollops of white, natural wood and lots of natural wood. Then it's exciting! But I love what you are showing us here - colour is fun and it never fails to give me a boost of happy energy. Love it especially since we are marching straight into Summer here.. It's pretty hot already and all I can think of right now is going to the beach..!!

ReplyDeleteWow, love it! This is how I prefer to use colour - in small bursts throughout the space. The furnishings are all so fab - I love that media unit and appreciate that it didn't get dipped in colour. It balances the other colurful pieces nicely.
