Sometimes interiors inspiration can air on the side of unachievable, with catalogue pages shot in expansive spaces, laced in grandeur and rammed to the rafters with designer labels. Don't get me wrong, I still take inspiration from such spaces, but every now and then, I love to find a space that right now, without a huge budget or apartment, I could actually achieve. One such space is the lovely home of Prime and Luisa, which is a compact 54meters-squared, but oh-my-word what a stylish 54meters-squared it is!
Mix and Match IKEA pedants and a blackboard wall is affordable and super stylish. Win, Win.
Relaxed, cafe-style seating makes the space feel social and maximises the space avaliable.
Possibly the most ingenious file-storage system I've ever seen. I do love a good bit of organisation.
Not only do they have a good taste in interior style, but in cookbooks, too!

Perhaps, like me, you live in a small space? I'm sure you'll agree this home tour is pretty damn inspiring! You can check out more great spaces over at IKEA Live. What parts of Prime and Luisa's space inspires you?
Agree completely! This space is so chic but not way overboard! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh. This is to-die-for adorable. The chalkboard wall makes the space so casual and welcoming. It all is just so great!

I do live in a small space! I even think that some of IKEA pieces can fit every home with style. I have them in may home...and it doesn't look ordinary or not personal. I'll post my home soon, and then I'll wait for Your comment!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more. While I enjoy looking at shelter magazines and catalogs, often times the rooms are massive allowing for numerous seating groups, etc... It's always refreshing to find inspiration from spaces closer to how I live.
ReplyDeleteThat is great AND achievable. Love it! Cafe style seating and chalkboard = awesome! Great post! -Jami
ReplyDeleteI'm always so impressed with people who can make small spaces work. This place is so cute and inviting.
ReplyDeleteyes, it IS so refreshing to see how we REALLY live, isn't it...
ReplyDeleteGreat space--very liveable. I wonder if you get chalk on your back if you lean back though :)
ReplyDeleteLove it! Green mugs, pendant fixtures, Jamie Oliver? Yes, please.
ReplyDeleteI love these shots!
ReplyDeleteOh I love all of the possibilities with IKEA! Proves that fabulous style is not limited to big spaces and that small spaces can be amazing too! This place has so much warmth and looks very livable.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're all loving this super little space! Perhaps we could all hook up for coffee/tapas like they have in the last photo - so much fun! Thank you for your comments xx
ReplyDeleteyeah, i loved this place big time! it is so v.cool
ReplyDeletehow fun does that look? a perfect place to have coffee and chat. i luve it.
ReplyDeleteand the chalkboard. luve.
I love the black board wall, and the dinning table with the storage underneath. The high ceilings are great for showing of those lovley lamp shades.
ReplyDeleteI love blackboards, they give spaces such a fun & welcoming feel... I WILL have a blackboard table some day soon!
ReplyDeleteProof that if you keep the pieces simple you can mix-and-match and then move them around your space. Let the shelves run up the wall to use the available wall space
ReplyDeleteIf your home is simple or sophisticated...... a chalkboard in the kitchen offers so much fun.
Hey Will! I know this is an old post but I just came across it and thought how lovely that little kitchen breakfast nook is. I'm often moaning about wanting a bigger living space but they've really made that look inviting and cosy haven't they? I hope you're well. x
