So, I've totally fallen for this Bell Jar table lamp from West Elm. All good so far. Until I realise West Elm don't ship to the UK. Gutted! This lamp would be perfect for my nightstand for a soft, comforting light. I'm not giving up though. I wondered if any of you knew of a lamp that looks like this from another store (that's in the UK or ships here)? I've been searching but as yet I've had no luck so I'd really appreciate your help.

sorry, can't help, but if you are creative enough, you can make it yourself.

That's what I would have suggested. Recreate it DIY-style. Bit of a long shot, but maybe try ebay.com. The lamp sure is gorgeous though.
ReplyDeleteSorry I can't help with where to find it! But I do agree with your dilemma that lamp is HOT!! Also being in Australia I am quite often frustrated with the lack of international postage by many companies! Wake up and smell the roses people the internet has created a GLOBAL marketplace. Good luck with your hunt

I bookmarked this DIY lighting project a long time ago that looks exactly like the lamp you are longing for:

Good luck!
Or if you're not feeling up to the task, you could just ship to a friend in the US, and then have them ship it to you? It would cost more... but may be worth it?
ReplyDeletehave them ship it to me and i can ship for you hunny!
ReplyDeleteMaybe check ebay? Or Amazon?
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through Ashlina {the decorista} and I'm loving your blog! So fun! Following you now! -Jami
You could try www.myus.com - it lets you get a US postal address, then they forward your mail on to you anywhere in the world. However I expect it will cost $$$!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you guys are AMAZING. Thank you so much for all your kind offers and really great advice. I'm defo going to try and make a lamp at some stage (thanks for the idea Linda, JT and Shannon!).
ReplyDeletei read this post the other day,...today while looking around a local(to me) garden centre, I started picking up the lovely lage glass vases and turning them around, my thinking is that if you turn them up the other way I bet you could get a glass cutter firm to drill a whole in it, then just add the light fitting and you would pretty much be there...what do you think..
ReplyDeleteJust seeing this post for the first time. By the way Will, I live just a handful of miles from West Elm. I will ship you anything in the future!
