With the trees blossoming and the spring flowers in full bloom, it only seems right to get inspired to by a touch of pink decorating. This is a colour that goes so much further than the Barbie Pink walls of a teenage girl's bedroom: it's glossy, sassy and even in its more dusty hues it still adds warmth to a scheme. For me, it looks great as an accent colour (8) against Abigail Ahern's bookcase wallpaper. Have you decorated with pink before? Do you have any tips for using it?

ReplyDeleteI love pink used this way and am madly in love with black paired with soft pink, dusty pink and even schocking pink.
But I really get totally dissoriented in a too romantic - all pink - love is all around in a too much of a sweet way - surrounding!
Very nice blog and nice to have a guy around all us female bloggers ;)
I love hot zesty pinks. Hate pale pinks. Love the pink Smeg though - that is my exception and I really want one in my own kitchen :-)
ReplyDeleteI love it when pink is used in surprising places like a kitchen or office and manages to not look too girly! A deep purply pink is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, have the birthday giveaway winners been contacted?
I read your blog every day and the posts seem to get better and better! x
My favourite colour! Did you know that in the first image from Living etc the owner glued small gems onto the floral wallpaper? An idea I filed away for future use!

ReplyDeletefester500 - Habitat are sending out the prizes to the winners!
deardesigners - Funny you should mention that as I did know becuase whilst I was at university I worked for Habitat, and the wallpaper in that first image was part of their collaboration with Cole & Son (I think) and we sold the packs of gems for sticking onto it. Such a great idea.
OMG these are uber fab images!!

Hey Edyta. Thanks for your lovely comment. I do believe the glossy pink table and benches are from Abigal Ahern's living room. Check out her collection, here: http://tinyurl.com/y5w455r. Hope that helps.
