Looking forward to a lie in this weekend? Well, it's the last of my birthday giveaways today but winning might make waking up on Monday mornings a little easier. It features this little fellow - the Okko alarm clock, which I first blogged about in a post on the birdy interior trend last year. A year on and birds are still hot property in interiors; Habitat have released the Okko alarm clock in bright red as part of their new SS10 collection. Fancy a chance at winning it? Pop a comment on this post telling me why you would like to wake up to the sound of bird song in the mornings! Good luck and thank you to all of you who have posted lovely comments on all the birthday giveaways this week.

Too, too cool. I need help - serious help - in getting up in the mornings. A little birdsong could be just the ticket.
ReplyDeleteBirdsong would make a pleasant change to my current alarm clock - the cat nipping my toes because he wants to be let out.f
ReplyDeleteI would love to win because I hate 'bleeping' alarm clocks!! That ickle birdie would look great on my bedside table too!
ReplyDeletebecause an early bird catches the worms.........
ReplyDeleteWaking up to Radio Norfolk, or to the sound of birdsong ... umm I know which I'd prefer!! (yes, obviously the birdsong!)
ReplyDeleteI like being in touch with the modern world, but when I wake up in the morning, the only tweeting I'd like to hear is from this beautiful Okko Alarm clock!
ReplyDeleteStylish, unique and with a beautiful morning twitter, it certainly gives Stephen Fry a run for his twittering money!!
I love the colour! And, it could bring a little bit of the countryside to my London morning! x
ReplyDeleteNow this giveaway is COOL! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOoh how lovely.
ReplyDeleteI've just moved from the countryside to inner city Manchester and long for the sound of bird song. Well anything to drown out the sound of my insane neighbours really.
Bird song for my daily 3.30am start would be sheer bliss.
Because, without going into too much detail, I can hear my neighbours using the bathroom above my bedroom and bird song from this jolly alarm clock would be a far nicer way to wake up!
ReplyDeleteWe currently share a bedroom with our baby, who shouts 'beep!' at seven every morning when the alarm goes off. I'd love him to hear something a little more natural and beautiful. It may teach him to whistle too! x
ReplyDeleteThis could be perfect for my teenager Maisie! We have tried every type of alarm to wake her in the morning but to no avail. Maybe this woud do the trick. It would look perfect in her room too!
ReplyDeleteI think Samsam definitely deserves it having to wake up to her neighbours peeing! But I would love it to give to Ruby as her current one goes off randomly in the night and the sound of birds might not seem so bad!
ReplyDeleteWaking up is probably the thing I hate the most, really. Maybe waking up with the sound of that cute alarm clock will make things better! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a cuuuute little alarm clock!! Birdsong would certainly beat the drone that I have to put up woth every morning :( doors slammed by inconsiderate housemates and my boyfriend's choice of chris moyles on our clock radio *shudder* I certainly need something to make me smile first thing in the morning!!
ReplyDeleteI struggle getting up and have an army of ugly alarm clocks and this would definitely brighten up my day!
ReplyDeleteAnd I really, really, really like birds. As you can see:

It's got to be better than the sound of my still-snoozing husband! Fingers crossed! ;)
ReplyDeleteI use my mobile phone to wake me up on a morning. As a joke, my friend changed my alarm to Flo Rida's "Low" so that I could wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy (i.e. totally big pimpin'.)
ReplyDeleteThree months later, I still haven't got around to changing it. This would be the perfect remedy to me starting every single day with the line "BOOTS WITH THE FUUUR" stuck in my head.
I dream of one day living in the country.... this would be a lovely sound to wake up to.
ReplyDeletewill we have one open to italian readers one day?
ReplyDelete;D
An alarm clock is exactly what I need... sad but true, always need to get up earlier than I want... ahhhhh bed........
ReplyDeleteI'd like to wake up to birdsong as my pet budgerigar Holly has to stay with my parents now I've moved to London as we aren't allowed pets in our flat so I miss hearing cute tweets and chirrups in the morning!
ReplyDeleteOh man what a wonderful clock! I'd love to win as I am a New Zealander living in London - no longer do I get woken up by birdsong, but by sirens and traffic.. it would be lovely to be woken up by the sounds of home again...
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
Adrienne
When I was in college I use to wake up to whale sounds on my roommates alarm clock....but ever since I moved to NYC and live alone, I've been using my ring tone on my blackberry which is Santeria by Sublime. Needless to say I haven't slept well in a year....Blackberrys aren't great for everything! This bird would be the perfect change.
ReplyDeleteIt's been a long snowy winter and waking up the sound of birds might cheer me up and make me more willing to NOT hit the snooze button.
ReplyDeleteTweet tweet - I think this alarm clock might make getting up in the morning just a little bit less horrid...!
ReplyDeleteBecause birds of one feather should stick together!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a bird fan, watching, feeding and protecting!
This would set the tone right from the start!
Love it!
Tweet tweet!

birdsong might drown out my 2 year old singing Bob The Builder as soon as he wakes up. It would also make a nice change from the dull alarm clock that I've had for about 15 years now that won't break so I can replace it!
ReplyDeleteWhat could be more lovely than waking up to birdsong now that spring is finally upon us :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your entries everyone! Random.org decided soggykipper is the winner - congratulations! Send me an email from the sidebar with your details and I'll get the alarm clock sent out to you asap!
