Home Office: How To Add Subtle Colour Accents

I've been redecorating my home office recently so my design eye is continually looking out for relevant spaces to inspire as I continue with the project. Happening upon this simple yet colourful work space led me to thinking about making colour statements and how they don't have to mean a huge overhaul. Taking this space as an example, simple additions of colour through fabric swatches, a vase and the typewriter are all ideal pieces and ways to brighten an otherwise pared-back room. I'm always happy to see Ferm Living's To Do wall sticker, but it's the combination of the yellow typewriter, House Doctor task lamp and rustic wooden table that are inspiring me the most. How do you add colour into your home office, friends?

  9. That yellow typer writer really brings color to your home office. It just pops out. Also the black board is a nice addition. I would love to have that in my office too.

  10. I have done that throughout my home pretty much, light grey on the walls and then the accessories bring in the colours. Its great because you can change the colour pallet any time you get bored and feel like a change. Yellow increases mind stimulation so is a perfect colour for a study :)

  14. I like to keep decor to a minimum in a workspace and just use a bit of colour. I love that flowers-typewrite combo. Fresh flowers on a desk just make all the difference.

    Enjoy your Friday evening, Will!

  19. I love your office style and the colours are fab. I work from home 6 days a week and I need zingy, bright colours to keep me energised and creative for my work. Accessories are perfect for this, also bright prints on the wall are great, especially when I am on the phone I just love looking at my prints. I also have a chaise longue upholstered in bright pink with a matching cushion.
