Pendant | Chesterfield | Armchair | Kitchen | Table nest
At the start of the summer I headed to preview the forthcoming autumn/winter collection from Habitat - a few days later they announced the closure of all of their stores, bar a handful in central London. As well as these stores, they continue to operate the brand online, which is now owned by the Home Retail Group, so I'll be really interested to see their first collection under the new ownership. Back to this season's offering and we find a range of products designed to help create a modern meets country style space. The collection feels cosy with a classic mix of old and new - and an expanded armchair offering. The copper and oak textures of their 'pantry' offering certainly appeal, and I love the updated Ella armchair in the dot fabric. What catches your eye?
looks amazing
ReplyDeleteI really like the reading nook - how cosy! Love books, so that is one reason. Number two is tha beatutiful armchair - and you can put your feet up to!
ReplyDeleteOooops, my fingers stumbled on the keyboard. Should have written "that" and not "tha" and "too" instead of "to"...
ReplyDeleteThat upholstered headboard is bananas.
ReplyDeleteI love Habitat when I was in Barcelona. So sad to hear they're closing.
ReplyDelete@modern-eve - Thanks for dropping by. The Home Retail Group only bought rights to the brand in the UK, I think, so stores in Barcelona should be staying open, along with the three in London and online. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteI love this collection, I need that Cornell unit!
ReplyDeleteLove the blog by the way!
I am loving that modern take on the wingback chair, loving the fabric too!x
ReplyDeleteWonderful collection...
ReplyDeleteYes, the pendant and the couch should be on the top five...
Love the stunning pendant light and that armchair is eye-catchingly gorgeous! xx
ReplyDeleteLove the use of color! Like the turquoise pillow on the brown leather sofa. Lovely touch!
ReplyDeleteoh wow....love the Raffia Pendant lamp-- so beautiful. -- although there are plenty of pretty things to choose from here!
ReplyDeleteSee I think their catalogue and stylism is always fantastic, however I never found that the shops were a reflection of the brand creativity. If you look at Anthropology, you get the same vibes online and on the high-street, whereas it didnt happen with Habitat. If their shops were as styled, cosy, creative and inspiring that the photos you've shared with us, I think it would have been a complete different story.
