TREND: Beach Blues

The coastal trend is easy to adopt whether you live by the coast or in an more urban environment. If you're based by the sea, it's more appropriate to go all out coastal in your scheme by embracing nautical elements and colours - think textured driftwood and bold blue hues. If, however, you're just looking to add a hint of this summertime trend into an existing scheme, then think about swapping out your current cushions for new pieces with a nautical stripe or anchor design. This simple decor swap is a quick and affordable way to refresh your scheme for the warmer months, without having to fully embrace the trend.

    I love coastal when it is paired down and not over done. It breathes Summer, relaxing and happy times to me. Yum yum!

    All but that here though.. Grey, windy and icky outside. And I am swimming in boxes, bubble wrap and to-do-lists.. How will I get everything done in time for the move..!?? Help!
    (Yes I hear you..I should not sit here and read blogs, right?!.. Well, a girl's got to find inspiration somewhere..! :)

    despite growing up beside the sea i'm usually not a fan of nautical, but i adore the styling of all of this. now i'm tempted to run down to the beach and play with branches stuck in the sand and things hanging off. that hanger - wire container is enchanting! the baskets and trunk are great. x
