Much like House Beautiful, it's been a while since I picked up a copy of Good Homes, but I'm so pleased I did because the April issue is a corker! I decided to share two of the standout stories from the issue: New Season Revival Style and Trash to Treasure, the former giving inspiration for updating classic mid century style for spring; the latter full of ideas for upcycling. I was delighted to see products designed by my friends at Mini Moderns appearing left, right and centre, along with graphic dinnerware by Marimekko. The upcycled umbrella stand, made with spray paint and patterned oil cloth, has gone on my to DIY list. Do you have a favourite from these tears?

Loving that lamp about halfway down in the images, and the wallpaper behind it! Thanks for sharing these inspiring images with us! xo.

Once again, you're killing me with the wallpaper! Love the paper in the dining room...actually I just love that dining room.
ReplyDeleteI think we get that magazine here in Vancouver...I'll keep my eyes peeled for this issue.
They all have an innocent 1950s cuteness about them .
ReplyDeleteI must have that living room!
ReplyDeleteWow, some of that furniture really reminds me of pieces I sold when working for a vermont furniture maker. Especially that sofa! They are called Pompanoosuc Mills, if you are interested.

It's been a while since i picked up an issue too and this one is charming. Always love plates on a wall and they look cute "framed". :)
ReplyDeleteThat first home is beautiful, so homey, yet stylish. And I had almost forgotten how much I want an Eames chair with wooden legs.
ReplyDeleteThey are all great, but my favorite has be the one with the bicycle - so cute! :)
