Battered industrial finishes seem to come alive when teamed with brilliant whites and colour pops; so effortlessly stylish, such spaces ooze laid-back, serene style. This Scandinavian home is no exception - everyday areas, such as the log store, are 'framed' by their all-white surroundings, subsequently making them features of the home and preventing any opportunity for the space to feel cold or uninviting. Meanwhile, the quirky vignettes add personality and interest; a personal favourite is seen below - the shutter and collection of three saws in the corner of the room. Plus, I'm tempted to try something similar to the empty photo frames (seen on top of the cabinet below) in my own place. So simple, but so effective! What inspires you about this uplifting home?

LOVE this home. I can't get enough of industrial, white, and wood together. I love the old window paned door that is covering the built-in shelves - so smart!
ReplyDeleteI love the eclectic nature of the objects here and when the industrial objects are teemed with this rustic white matt, it is very liveable!
ReplyDeleteI like this home with all the windows for natural light. The rustic pieces are a neat touch. I dig the doggy looking out the window on the steps, priceless!
ReplyDeleteso fresh and lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe bedroom with the giant "A" is spectacular. As is the room with the over-sized botanical prints. But then again, they're Scandinavian, so why am I not surprised?
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with the industrial edge and the light fixtures are just calling out to me-love it all Will!
ReplyDeleteSpectacular home! I love the turquoise light fitting in the living room and the re-purposed coffee tables!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is the best post (for me) so far! I immediately had to show it to my husband because our 1950's home has older, rustic-looking features. With our modern furniture, it was hard for me to see how it could work..but now I can :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
I am so totally into this white walls, white floors, rustic industrial look right now! This home is GORGEOUS!

How can I not love a bright, white and light Scandi treat like this?!
ReplyDeleteApart from the freshness of it all, I love the stacked fire wood and that inbuilt cabinet the most. Looks like they've used an old window for the door - great idea.
We've just entered the Weekend here in Sydney. It's hot, humid and sunny. The only sensible thing to do is to head for the beach..
Up North they are tending to the deep wounds of the monstrous cyclone Yasi that hit earlier in the week. Devastation..
