Home Tour: Art Nouveau Style

The classic details and high ceilings in this apartment are telling of the building's turn of the century Art Nouveau style. Flooded with natural light and furnished with a hint of tongue-in-cheek attitude, this place instantly caught my eye. I like how it's been styled to illustrate the different atmospheres of the rooms: the bedroom is calm and serene for writing and relaxing, whilst the dining area, playroom and entryway are more playful in their approach. My favourite parts of the apartment are the dramatic ceiling heights and the small, but perfectly formed kitchen. How about you?

    Very tasty! High ceiling are such a wonderful element in a spacious feeling room.

    But my favourite? Gotta be those gorgeous doors with the fab mouldings. And the pops of colour in the entry.

    Not to detract from the loveliness of everything else, but my only pet peeve is the curtains aren't full length. That bugs me a little. But it's a gorgeous place!

    It's all lovely but where was the Art Nouveau? Did you mean simply that the building was from the Art Nouveau era and nothing more, or that the style was "Art Nouveau with a twist" (it just looked Scandinavian to me)?
