When I first saw this space over on desire to inspire I knew I had to blog it; I've been craving some masculine, industrial-flavoured spaces for the last couple of weeks. There's a little slice of everything I dig within interior design here: it's a compact, but excellently designed loft. For starters there's not one, but four of the Marias stools in the perfect grey hue. Then, I found myself scribbling ideas in the ol' notebook about how to decorate my space with books and artifacts without it looking like a jumble sale. Sean, the owner, has mixed an old fire extinguisher with DVDs, books and candlesticks, and it still looks effortless and relaxed. I'm sure Chris' work in designing the loft helped with this - look closely at the second image and you'll see a hideaway cinema screen, which actually looks like it's meant to be there. By the time I saw the details in the bedroom space I was too engrossed in the space to write notes! The masculine ethos of this place is perfectly balanced with soft details like the 'dream' typography, vintage typewriter and luxe textiles. Whats more, there's even that all important hit of colour that you guys know I can't be without.

It's very pretty, not quite MY style though, but I do love a well put together gray and pops of red, brown and black - stylish indeed! Are those Jean Prouve stools? I'm really loving them lately :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this space even though I am far from masculine! Although not sure about the animal skull on the pulley ... Jane
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant! I love this pace and the decor is perfect. Great find.

Wow! What an incredible space! Normally I'd be freaked out by a cow skull hanging in the foyer, but it kind of fits here. Great find :)
ReplyDeleteFunny think is, I used to have this bizzare cow skull sculpture painted red and black that hung above my bed, however when i moved from Australia to Canada gave it to a friend. I d like the space here and have always wanted a loft, but might decorate a bit differently.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so collected! So un-contrived. I love it!!
ReplyDeleteOh I love a good loft space. It's kinda urban meets country. So neat!
ReplyDeleteoh yes - I saw this space and love all the quirky accessories and the industrial feel of it. love your layouts :)
ReplyDeleteoh.em.gee... Anyone who can pull off that cow skull has style in my books!
ReplyDeleteThose windows are gorg! Love this space! Happy Thursday Will!

Oh you know I would love me some urban loft! Nice. xoxo
ReplyDeleteGreat post! So funky and fun! Still loving the blog!
ReplyDeletethose walls are enchanting. really love the gray in the bedroom- and I'm not really a gray-wall type.
ReplyDeleteI think it's great. The only thing I would have to remove is the deer's head.
ReplyDeleteThe cow skull on the pulley is very interesting. Also love those stools. They're such a classic!
ReplyDeleteThis definitely appeals to my industrial side. Great post!
ReplyDeleteLove the bedroom! I Am thinking about painting my walls grey with accents of white. Very inspriring.
ReplyDeleteI love those gray stools and the bed, especially, although I don't know why so many people insist on animal skulls and whatnot. If they're being cheeky, I get it...but still. *shudder*
ReplyDeleteI love the raw wood pieces and accessories. As much as this looks masculine, I know I could live here too. I don't know why but I just love it!
ReplyDeleteOMG this place is freaking amazing..sooo my style!
ReplyDeleteQuite an eclectic and interesting space. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove it when concrete and style come together! That wall behind the bed is insane! Would love to recreate that look using matte paint and chalk (though I know it is grouting and concrete for real..) - large line drawn checks just like so! Yum!
ReplyDeleteYes, I can see this would be the ultimate bachelor pad - masculine, sleek but with a rustic industrial anchor. Very creative and effortless like you say!
