Call me weird but my weekend doesn't really feel complete unless I have a little project on the go. It doesn't have to anything big, I just like to feel I am making progress with something, especially if it means making my home all the more enjoyable to be in. This idea from Martha Stewart Living to paint the edge of a door is the perfect weekend project: it's quick, easy and provides a dramatic effect when finished. Also, this is an ideal project if you want to dip your toes into brighter hues for the first time. What are your favourite weekend DIY's? I'd love to discover some more!
Ahhh what a fun little idea! Just a little dash of colour - so fun! :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Love weekend projects and I love that strip of color on the door! It's like a ribbon! I do all kinds of projects from gardening to painting furniture...this weekend I am working on a chandelier! Happy Friday! Xxx -j
ReplyDeleteHi Will, what a fantastic idea that is! So quirky and literally just a 'splash' of colour. I'll definitely be doing this one. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteloooovveee it. Wish I could to that but alas, I'm a renter. Great color for that space too.
ReplyDeletelove that idea of painting the edge of the door. My most recent weekend project that I did was to make what I call display ladders, to hang throws on in the living room. they turned out really well and very simple to do. now a permanent fixture in the living room.
ReplyDeleteI love this - it's the decorating equivalent of a black outfit with vampy nail polish. I'm thinking a nice bright yellow in my grey room...
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a really interesting idea! Count on you to share this cute idea. Ohhhh my brain is flooded with color options. Thanks, Will. Cheers.
