With the warmer weather I'm feeling in the mood for a little alfresco dining; picnic or posh poolside dinner, I don't mind. The top tablescape has a charming simplicity to it, I like the fresh and colourful blooms as a centrepiece, with rustic linens for a base. Plus, how lovely are those place name bottles?! The second inspiration plays to my growing appreciation for all things rustic. The upcycled palette box as a low table and old printer's typography template stood out for me here. Finally, the bold blue hue of this outside wall reminded me of the extent to which colour can go to in rejuvenating a space. What's inspiring you, friends?

Like you, I have a growing appreciation for all things rustic these days so I find #2 very inspiring. The styling of it, the picture frames, prints, the casualness and the vintage vibe makes this a beautiful image.

I'm totally so into the alfresco dining right now. We just remodeled our back yard and added a fire pit, and we've been having great weather. We're really enjoying our time out there now. You should check out my pics on my new blog! Yours is fun!!

A posh poolside party? Yes please! I'm loving the use of indoor rustic furniture but brought outside for alfresco dining (to me, there is nothing more offputting than plastic garden furniture). Smitten over that sideboard in the second pic!
ReplyDeleteWill! What a post! Absolutely love each and every image. And the blue accent color - stunning.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend to you - summer time in Stockholm, wihoo!!

I love that blue wall so much! My bedroom is a similar colour but somehow doesn't look anywhere near as vibrant as this!

It is all about upcylcing! Love the palette used as a coffee table (clever use of stencils), and the bottle as name tags. How cool are these? Really need to get on with doing the next phase of the house, the garden.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh how delightful a poolside dinner sounds! If only there were pools anywhere within reach...! That top photo strikes me as so French! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThe blue wall makes an impact and I quite like (love, actually) the effect of the teal accessories against that wall. Thank you!

Gosh I love the bold colours and industrial is so me right now. I love the rustic chest of drawers, might have to get some paint and start re-doing my boring white one to something a bit more interesting! You're a wizard, Will! ;-)
