The May issue of Elle Decoration is such a visual treat: candy-chic pastels and soft linens take the spotlight in the bedroom special, whilst vibrant yellow hues shine against inky, navy blues in their 'Object of Desire' story. Not surprisingly, a strong spring theme runs throughout the issue, with plenty of refreshing, open and airy spaces featured on the pages within. The mid-century-modern feel to the Los Angeles-based home tour caught my eye, as did the dining room inside the Danish summerhouse. Here are my picks, but what's your favourite?

That multi-hued pink bed in the last picture is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love the room with the green farmhouse pendant. The bedroom and office are pretty great too!

That outdoor space with the reclaimed wooden wall is divine and those navy spotted cushions! Swoon!
ReplyDeleteRachie - Those polka dot cushions totally caught my eye, too!
ReplyDeleteKayla - Oddly, those shelves were one of my fave tears from the issue. Something intriguing about them!
the dining room is a treat to the eyes, beautiful, thanks for sharing Will
ReplyDeleteI curled up and read this cover to cover on Saturday as I was sick. I love the outdoor seating areas, time to dust off the bistro chairs I think.
ReplyDeleteSo much eye candy...love it!
ReplyDeleteThe room with floor to ceiling windows, it is what I want for the house that I will build and the bed, that dreamy, romantic, pink bed.
ReplyDeleteWill, we briefly met last night at Holly's book launch. I would have liked to chatted some more, but it was busy. Another time..
My best, Kelly

ReplyDeleteOh, that desk! So colorful and full of personality. Love it!
ReplyDeleteClever storage over the desk. It would be fun to make something like that. Also, (first picture) what a difference it makes just hanging the bookcase on the wall. Get it off the floor- I've always loved that look.
ReplyDeleteStunning issue! Love the oriental rug in the modern living room.

What a lovely blog! Am sick with jealousy of the Swedish couple's stockholm apartment. Just the right mix of colourful objects and patterns on a calm white background. Ace!
ReplyDeletesome tasty stuff here
ReplyDeleteI love so many of these, but I'd have to say that my absolute favorite is the outdoor sitting area with the rug.
