I often feel drawn to life in the country at this time of year. Perhaps it's the idyll of a country cottage laden with snow and rolling fields as far as the eye can see. Or, maybe, it's a hankering after childhood memories: waking up on a winter's morning to see the frost-hit fields from my bedroom window. Either way, there's no denying that the latest issue of Country Homes & Interiors brought back many a happy memory. As well as a trip down memory lane, the January pages were plentiful with their ideas. From alternative festive wreaths to new traditions and welcome lighting suggestions, their New Year stories are uplifting and comforting. P.S. Rhoda - who edits the magazine - writes a daily blog, which I thoroughly recommend checking out.

New traditions from a 'country' homes mag.. It's not something you always see from the pages of country style mags and here, it's so fresh! I love that velvety armchair, love that colour! You give us the best pages of each mag you share with us Will. Je les aime beaucoup!
ReplyDeleteWill- I'm with you! I'm always drawn to the country vintage style anyways, but especially this time of year. I love the rustic elements you showed in these pictures. My grandparent's live in the Sierra Mountains in California and have a stunning cabin looking home. It's so cozy! And I adore the bright colors shown in the magazine...we can always count on you to bring the color! And before this comment turns into a novel, I just want to say I love the candles in the oranges, too! (:
