I've been meaning to start one of these for quite some time and with moving to a new place (with new home office space included - errrrm major yay) it seems the perfect time to start. But how? Where? What should it look like? What works best? Judging by the swoonalicious blogs so many of you have, I bet lots of you stylish bloggers have bulletin boards more worthy of being referred to as inspiration walls. So, please share your tips and suggestions for what makes a good (and super stylish - obv) bulletin board. Here's some to die for examples that I like of varying styles. P.S. Hope to share pics of my home office soon - it's coming together nicely...I'm going for a masculine meets feminine space.

This is the one thing I miss from our old flat! We just haven't found the right spot to put one in our new house (still a rental) as the study is currently a dumping ground rather than a place to work!
ReplyDeleteI love the clipboards - a very decorative idea - but nothing beats a corkboard when it comes to creating a snapshot of your life on the wall.
what a beautiful idea!!! i love the clipboards too.
ReplyDeleteI think the first one is the most masc meeting fem one... or maybe the 8th... they're my fav, at least!! ^_^
ReplyDeleteAll of them are fabulous of course, but #2 gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteLove your inspiration pics, Will! My favorite is the home office with the pink, green and brown floral wallpaper ~ I love seeing that room. I guess it would depend what you have on your bulletin board. If it is totally covered up, like some here, with papers, pictures and inspiration, I think the molding will be important. Either decorative or having more weight. Have fun! Good for you having such a nice new space that allows you some office area.
ReplyDeleteParticularly love the 2nd from the top - a creative inspiration...

ReplyDeleteI hope that one day I will have my board which I haven't had by now for: 1. no space in the previous homes I lived in + 2. no time for "secondary" artistic projects in the home I live right now.
ReplyDeleteexcellent idea! masculine meets fem. i love playing with opposites ESP when it comes to my personal style. looking forward to checking back in and seeing the photos of your office space.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that 9th picture from the New York Times.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestions for this type of project are as follows--old timey metal with cool, simple magnets or cork with those science project sort of T-pins. Done. :)
fabulous examples — i'm DYING for the second one! making a little inspiration board is definitely on my to do list of summer projects. i can't wait to see your new office as i'm sure it will be amazing.
