BHLDN Decor: Six Fall Tabletop Schemes

BHLDN
I loved BHLDN's first decor collection that launched back in spring but their new range expands on the original offering and has made the collection even more desirable. The creative team at BHDLN decor have pulled together inspiration for six different tabletop and party themes, from tablescapes and drinks tables to sweet bars and guestbook tables, there is inspiration for a host of different parties this fall. Awash with hues and shades from across the colour spectrum, Mr. Bazaar was beaming with delight at the brand's creative wanderlust, with whimsical themes transporting one to faraway, magical lands. After all, to me, that's what helps to make a fantastic event. Truth be told I honestly do like all of the six schemes for different reasons: the moss elements of The Naturalist and the candy colours of Mad Hatter both fought gallantly for my affections. Ultimately, though, Paper Moon won out because it seems a style so right for the BHLDN brand and therefore felt the most naturally executed - the gold and mercury tones felt perfect for the forthcoming season, too. Which scheme is your favourite and why?

RICE: Autumn/Winter Collection 2011

It's always such a joy to share the latest collection from Rice. Yes, the product assortment is always a glorious feast of colour but there's more to their ranges than bright hues. Quirky, original and practical are all words I would associate with their autumn/winter 2011 collection. Expect to find sizable storage baskets, quirky lamps and more melamine wares than you thought existed! Which Rice pieces would you work into your existing homewares? P.S. If you're in London and due to get married soon then you might like to know that the Covent Garden store now does wedding lists.

Photographic Highlights: My Trip To Menorca

Photographs by Will Taylor
Recently I took the short trip (two hours) by plane from London to the small, exotic and utterly charming Balearic isle of Menorca. I had visited once before on a family holiday when I was much younger but this was my first adult trip to the island, which is situated off the coast of mainland Spain. Today I'm sharing some of my inspirations from the trip (seriously, this place is awash with saturated colours - heaven for an addict like me!) which include the peeling, weathered walls of old town Ciutadella, the azure, turquoise blue lagoons and the vibrant, ever-present bougainvillea. We spent mornings snorkeling, afternoons exploring vineyards, learning about how to care for vines and, of course, sampling some of the island's finest wines, before enjoying late suppers by the sea and moonlight walks at midnight. Inspiring and relaxing, it's wonderful how a change in culture can refresh the mind. Has a change in culture inspired you recently?
