One of the quickest ways to add a new element to a space is through fresh flowers, and with beautiful summer blooms in full, well, bloom, now makes the perfect time to get creative. Grab a collection of jugs and vases, then cut some of your favourite stems from the garden, or treat yourself to a morning at the flower market to buy some blooms. Either way, a posy of fresh flowers is a great way to add interest to bare tabletops or empty corners - I'll be doing a little arranging of myself this weekend. (If you're after some more flower arranging inspiration be sure to check out this lovely book.) What are your plans? Have a lovely weekend, folks!

Fresh flowers, to me...are the ultimate (affordable) luxury! I try to have them in most rooms, all the time! :)

Nature is inspiring, and having flowers in ones home has a ripple effect on ones mood. Little can brighten up a room like beautiful flowers. I worked on a dingy home once. It was a major sore eye. I found myself slacking off and only working two hours at a time when I should have been there for at least 6 hours. One Sunday, I went to the local oudoor market, purchased two dozen flowers and then went back to the dingy house and set them up in beautiful vases, lit some candles, added some room spray, and VOILA! I finished the house sooner than expected! Flowers truly are inspiring!
